Job Title: Flooring Installer

Job Summary: As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for the professional installation of various types of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, and carpet. You will work closely with the project manager, and office administration to ensure high-quality installations that meet aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site Preparation: Assess the installation area. Remove old flooring and prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and fit.
• Material Handling: Select, cut, and lay flooring materials according to specifications that were provided by the project manager. Ensure accurate fitting and alignment of materials.
• Installation: Install flooring materials, including underlayment, adhesives, and finishing trims, with precision. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and industry best practices.
• Quality Control: Inspect and adjust the installation to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications. Address any issues or defects promptly.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with the team to ensure the project is running smoothly. Project manager and the rest of the team will provide guidance to ensure you meet customer needs and preferences. This includes communicating with project manager at a minimum of 3 times a day providing project updates.
• Maintenance: Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in installation. Ensure all work areas are left clean and safe.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to OSHA standards and other relevant regulations.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of materials used, time spent, and any additional work performed. Report progress and any issues to the project manager. Report Progress will need to be submitted weekly to the office manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a flooring installer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools related to flooring installation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 Ibs or more.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or training in flooring installation.
• Experience with specialized flooring materials (e.g., luxury vinyl tile, engineered hardwood).
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to flooring.

Requirements:

• References with previous experience

• The role involves physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
