Flooring Helper

Job Summary: As a Flooring Helper, you will assist flooring installers in the preparation, installation, and finishing of various types of flooring materials. Your role will involve helping with the set up of tools and materials, measuring and cutting flooring components, and ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard of quality and efficiency.

Type Of Position: Subcontractor / 1099

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist flooring installers in removing old flooring and preparing surfaces for new installations.
• Help with measuring and cutting flooring materials to fit specific areas.
• Carry and position materials such as tiles, planks, and adhesives.
• Mix and apply adhesives or other materials as needed.
• Assist in leveling and smoothing surfaces to ensure proper installation.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in flooring installation.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
• Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues or concerns to the installer or project manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the flooring installer or project manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry 30 Ibs or more.
• Basic knowledge of flooring types and installation techniques is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
• Good physical stamina and dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Working Conditions:

• The job may involve working in various residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• The role requires physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Safety gear such as gloves, masks, and goggles may be required.

Target Base Range: $15 – $22
